At Simmi Travels, we understand that plans change. We strive to make the cancellation and refund process as smooth as possible. However, as a travel agency, our ability to offer refunds is often tied to the policies of the third-party suppliers (airlines, hotels, tour operators) we work with.
Service Fees: Please note that Simmi Travels' initial service/consultation fees and booking fees are non-refundable once the booking is confirmed. These fees cover the professional time and resources used to arrange your travel.
Supplier Policies: Refunds are strictly subject to the cancellation policies of the respective airline, hotel, or tour operator. If a supplier refuses a refund, Simmi Travels is not liable to reimburse the customer independently.
Non-Refundable Tickets: Many budget and economy class tickets are completely non-refundable. In some cases, only the government taxes are refundable.
Cancellation Penalties: Even if a ticket is refundable, airlines usually deduct a cancellation penalty.
Processing Time: Airline refunds typically take 15 to 45 business days to process, depending on the airline’s workflow. Simmi Travels will process the refund to you within 7 days of receiving the funds from the airline.
Refunds for hotels and holiday packages depend on how close to the departure date the cancellation occurs.
Free Cancellation Windows: Some hotels offer free cancellation up to 24-48 hours before check-in. We will pass this benefit directly to you.
Non-Refundable Bookings: Special promotional rates or peak-season bookings are often 100% non-refundable.
Early Departure: No refunds will be issued for unused nights or services if you decide to check out early or end your trip prematurely.
Once a cancellation is approved:
Standard Processing: Refunds are generally processed within 7–14 business days after we receive the funds from the supplier.
Payment Method: Refunds will strictly be credited back to the original source of payment (e.g., the same credit card or bank account used for booking). Cash refunds are not permitted for online bookings.
Visas: Fees paid to embassies or visa processing centers are 100% non-refundable, regardless of whether the visa was granted or rejected.
Travel Insurance: Insurance premiums are generally non-refundable once the policy has been issued, or after the "cooling-off" period defined by the insurer has passed.
In the event of cancellations due to natural disasters, pandemics, government lockdowns, or airline strikes:
We will work tirelessly to get you a refund or a travel credit voucher (e.g., Credit Note) for future travel.
However, if the airline or supplier offers a Voucher/Credit Shell instead of a cash refund, Simmi Travels is obliged to pass that voucher on to you. We cannot convert supplier vouchers into cash.
